Lim Wee Teck, Secretary
With great enthusiasm and deep gratitude, I extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for electing me as the IEEE EPS Malaysia Chair for 2025. I am truly humbled by your trust and confidence, and I am honored to carry the baton forward in serving our vibrant engineering community as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
Since joining IEEE EPS Malaysia, I’ve witnessed tremendous growth in our chapter. From humble beginnings as a small chapter with just 25 members, we have grown into a large and thriving community, surpassing 125 members by 2024. This remarkable transformation is a testament to the dedication and leadership of our passionate team, who have continuously promoted EPS across Malaysia through various impactful initiatives.
In 2024, we embraced hybrid engagement—offering both virtual and physical events to maximize accessibility and participation. The highlight of the year was undoubtedly IEMT 2024 in Penang, which brought together a global audience for insightful discussions on cutting-edge topics in electronics packaging and manufacturing. I extend my sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed—our committees, speakers, reviewers, authors, sponsors, exhibitors, and volunteers. Your efforts were key to the success of this flagship event.
We are also proud to share that EPS Malaysia was named the 2025 IEEE EPS Chapter of the Year across all 10 regions. This prestigious recognition reflects the tireless work of our volunteers in organizing webinars, conferences, student programs, technical talks, and workshops, with strong collaboration between academia and industry. Congratulations to the entire team on this well-deserved achievement!
Looking ahead in 2025, we remain focused on strategic engagement, student outreach, and strengthening industry partnerships. We plan to expand our footprint by hosting more localized events, nurturing mentorship programs, and creating platforms that support the development of future engineering leaders.
On behalf of the entire committee, I want to thank our members for your continued support and trust. Together, we will keep building a strong, inclusive, and forward-thinking EPS community here in Malaysia.
Finally, to the 2025 committee—thank you for your energy, commitment, and teamwork. Let’s continue this momentum and make 2025 another impactful year.
Wishing everyone a meaningful and successful 2025!
